Farmers’ Markets, Food Coupon Programs, and Farm Share Program

Cedar Circle Farm & Education Center, along with many other local farms, accepts food coupons designated for use at farmers’ markets in Vermont and New Hampshire. It requires a small amount of additional administration to redeem the coupons but is an excellent way for low-income families to have access to quality organic produce.

In 2008, our CSA program became eligible to participate in NOFA/VT’s Farm Share Program. Farm Share offers a cost-share option for low-income people who want to join a CSA program. NOFA does a major fundraising event each year to raise money for this effort. Each participating farm also donates a share of the sliding-scale price on the CSA membership.
