Cedric Mason, groundskeeper
After receiving a B.A. in physics in 2003 and working for several years at Columbia University’s earth observatory, I found that the very institutions that have warned of global climate change were themselves dependent upon industrial agriculture and its environmentally damaging practices.
It is my belief that the development of a sustainable food system is of utmost importance to our our society’s future, and I find that this is exactly what is happening at Cedar Circle Farm, where I have enjoyed being employed since 2007.
As groundskeeper, I help keep the farm functional and beautiful and also assist with cultivation of fruits and vegetables.
Apart from Cedar Circle Farm, I helped to establish a small farm in western Massachusetts in 2009 and have spent early 2010 learning about holistic land management practices at a cattle ranch near Phoenix, Arizona.
